Currently, the cap on H-1B visas is 65,000* per year with an additional 20,000 for those with a Master’s degree or higher from an institution within the United States. The numbers ran out for fiscal year 2008 and 2009 the first day of filing. There are certain organizations that are cap exempt as well as other visa options to pursue. A consultation is required to determine the best course of action to take in that regard.
